At Nova Insurance we understand how important it is to have peace of mind when you’re behind the wheel.
We work with you to help you understand your insurance policy.

Certain coverage is required to drive on public roadways - this includes:
Personal Liability & Property Damage (PLPD) Insurance to protect you in case you are in an accident and cause injury to others.
Accident Benefits Coverage for medical expenses should you or your passengers be injured in an accident.
Unidentified or Uninsured Motorist Protection in case you are involved in an accident with someone who is uninsured or unidentified.
If you lease or finance your vehicle, you are required to protect the value of your vehicle. And, even once paid for, we strongly recommend these coverages - even small accidents can generate big repair bills.
Collision insurance pays to repair your car after a car accident. It is an optional coverage meaning you will have to pay extra to add collision insurance to your auto insurance policy.
Comprehensive insurance covers the cost of repairs to your vehicle caused by perils other than collision – this would include loss or damage caused by fire, theft, lightning, explosion, falling objects, earthquake, impact with animals, windstorm, hail, rising water, or vandalism.
Loss of Use Coverage will provide you with a rental vehicle following a claim.
Accident Forgiveness prevents your insurance rates from increasing as a result of an accident.
Liability for Non Owned Vehicles will extend coverage for physical damage on a rental vehicle.
Lending your Vehicle If you lend your car on a regular basis, or for days at a time, to an individual who is not insured on your policy, you should update your policy with their license information.
Towing Trailers If you use your vehicle to tow a personal utility or recreational travel trailer, only liability coverage extends from the towing vehicle. If you need physical damage coverage for your trailer, you'll need to add it to your policy and confirm the year, make, model, and value.
Driving in the United States If you drive your vehicle in the United States, you may want to consider increasing your liability coverage due to increasing court costs and settlements. Keep in mind that all policy limits are in Canadian (CAD) funds.
Peer to Peer Ridesharing If you are participating in Peer-to-Peer Sharing, such as Uber™, UberEats™ or Turo™ you must notify us to review any changes to your coverage.
Business Use If you use your vehicle within your business or employment, other than commuting, you must report its use so that it is properly insured. Most policies contain clauses that void coverage when a vehicle is used for compensation or driven for business use; this also includes carrying tools and equipment.
Customized or Rebuilt Vehicles If your vehicle is customized, or labeled as rebuilt, you must report the alterations as restrictions may apply. This includes custom paint, lift kits, or other enhancements.
Distracted Driving is the leading cause of accidents. If you're texting while driving, you're six times more likely to cause an accident. Checking a text for five seconds means that at 90 km/h, you've travelled the length of a football field blindfolded. Using a cellphone while driving conviction is a major conviction, and will lead to significantly increased insurance rates.
